Scott Nesbitt Award Recipient 2024

This year's Scott Nesbitt Scholarship Award recipient is Mr. Blaise Naaman. Blaise was born in Pakistan and spent his first two years at Mother Teresa's Orphanage in Lahore, Pakistan. He was adopted by Moody Professor Dr. Samuel Naaman and his wife Debbie and spent the rest of his childhood in Carol Stream, IL. Blaise came to know Christ at age 11 and became actively involved in his church and on mission trips. His heart for serving the Lord brought him to Moody Bible Institute in 2018, where he earned his BA in Human Services & Pre-Counseling (2022) and completed his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2025), graduating with a 3.7 GPA. Blaise joined and helped lead the Men's Cross-Country team at MBI in their debut season this past year and will be an assistant cross-country coach for Moody this Fall. He continues to serve in his church and community and is deeply committed to serving the Lord wholeheartedly in all he does.
