ARCHERS LOSE “THE SHOOTOUT AT SOLHEIM” 109-102 TO KUYPER

In their last home game of the season, the Archers turned in their best offensive performance of the season. Moody had 6 players score in double figures enroute to their highest scoring output of the season. "It was great to see the seniors perform well on Senior Night," stated Moody Coach Jack Jordan. "Our guys shot well tonight and did a good job of sharing the basketball." The game featured 9 lead changes and fast- paced action and deadly outside shooting.

Senior guard Tre Walker led the way with 24 points, shooting 8-13 from the floor and 7-12 from beyond the three-point stripe. Freshman forward Joshua Bartig scored 20 points shooting 7-11 from the field and grabbed 4 rebounds. Senior Donovan Wright also shot 7-11 from the floor, scoring 15 points and dishing out 3 assists. Sophomore guard Aaron Stewart scored 11 points to go with 5 rebounds and freshman guard Isaac Martinez also scored 8 points to go with 3 steals. Sophomore guard Marquis Allen scored 10 points and added 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

Junior forward Sherman Etienne turned in a solid performance hitting 5 of his 10 shots for 10 points and grabbing a team-high 6 rebounds. Etienne logged 36 minutes as the Archers were without their second leading scorer and leading rebounder Demorion Jackson who could not play due to an illness.

Moody continues Midwest Region play this Thursday, travelling to Grace Christian in Wyoming, Michigan for a 7:00 pm (EST) tip-off.
