ARCHERS DOMINATED BY GRACE CHRISTIAN 97-51 REMAIN WINLESS IN MIDWEST REGION PLAY

After turning in their finest performance of the season Tuesday night at the Solheim Center in a 109-102 loss against Kuyper, the Archers were unable to sustain any momentum Thursday night against Grace Christian at Wyoming, Michigan. Tuesday night Moody scored a season-high 102 points, and 7 Archers scored in double figures. The game also saw the team shoot extremely well from the floor while committing a season-low 10 turnovers. "Rebounds and free-throws did us in against Kuyper. We played our best game of the year but were outrebounded and missed 13 crucial free throws," stated Moody Coach Jack Jordan. He adds,"Tonight, we started slow and never recovered. It was the exact opposite of the other night. We did not play with energy, did not play unselfishly, and were unable to make our shots."

One bright spot for Moody was sophomore guard Marquis Allen who scored 10 points (5-11 from the floor) and grabbed 7 rebounds. Junior forward Demorion Jackson grabbed a team-high 9 rebounds and contributed 9 points. Moody will head to Lansing, Michigan to face Great Lakes Christian this Saturday to close out the regular season. Then, next Thursday will return to Great Lakes for the Midwest Region Tournament. Moody will play at 2:00 pm against the Region's number three seeded team.
