Close Game with Maranatha at the Final Home Game

Close Game with Maranatha at the Final Home Game

Maranatha Baptist travelled from Watertown, WI to play at the Solheim Center in Chicago this Tuesday. It was a very close game, similar to their first matchup of the season in January.

In the first half, Moody stunned the Sabercats by taking the lead early on, but Maranatha stole the lead a few minutes into the game. Both teams headed off into the locker room with the score 32-27, with Maranatha in the lead.

By the second half, both teams played aggressively, racking up the foul count. Two Moody players fouled out by the end of the game. Christian Pollard had a phenomenal game, leading the team in scoring, with his total points being 23.  DeMorion Jackson helped the team out with 10 total rebounds, but with Maranatha shooting 30 free throws, doubling Moody's, their efforts were in vain. The final score was 72-61, with Maranatha winning the game.

This was the final home game for the Archers. They will compete against Great Lakes Christian on Saturday to finish out the regular season. Go Archers!
