CHICAGO, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men's basketball team picked up its first win on the year after defeating host Moody Bible, 93-57. Caden Clark also became the 16th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
The Griffins dominated from the opening tip taking a 32-6 lead with 8:00 minutes left after Jaden Betton went 1-of-2 from the line.
Fontbonne remained in control from there leading 47-21 after one. The Griffins shot 51.4 percent from the field in the first compared to Moody Bible going just 7-of-28 (25.0 percent).
It was more of the same in the second half stretching its advantage out to 34 (68-34) with 12:41 left in regulation after Caden Clark made his layup. Fontbonne held onto that double-digit lead the rest of the way securing the victory.
