Moody Plays Aggressive Against Andrews

This past Thursday night, February 15th, the Archers played Andrews University for the second time of the season. The Archers came in to the game with 2 wins on the season, while Andrews came in with 1, which was their win against the Archers at home. The first game was a close one, and so was the rematch.

The first half was pretty back and forth, each team scoring well but also giving up baskets on the other end. Andrew Hall gave the Archers a good start shooting 3/3 from 3-point in the first few minutes of the game. The back and forth went on till the end of the half, but the Cardinals led by 10.

The second half was much more intense than the first. Moody started to challenge some of the ball handlers of Andrews almost full-court, and the Cardinals presented Moody a fundamental 2-3 zone, challenging them to win the game with good shooting. Moody responded well, bringing the game within 6 points at times. Tre Walker helped in this effort with 4/8 shooting from 3. But fouls and missed shots caught up to the Archers. The final score was 59-76 after some game-extending free-throws from Andrews.

The Archers will play this Saturday against Kuyper College. Be sure to make it to the Solheim Center and bring some youth! Ages 17 and under are free! Go Archers!
