Moody Falls to Fontbonne

Moody Falls to Fontbonne

This past Friday, Moody played their first game in hosting the 30th annual Big Four Tournament against familiar foe Fontbonne University. The game's result ended up being fairly familiar as well.

For the first minutes of the game, Moody showed the Griffins that they were here to play ball--that this year was not going to be a repeat of the last. The gym roared as Christian Pollard gave Moody a jumpstart with an early steal and fastbreak bucket in traffic. But the excitement weaned as Moody made some costly fouling errors and Fontbonne showed their depth with constant subs.

The Archers ended up losing 98-62, but there was good ball played till the final buzzer. For the last 10 minutes of the game it was bench vs. bench, and Moody's showed up. Flavius Ardelean scored 9 and Duncan Brandt had a string of 3's to keep Moody encouraged going into their next game against East West tomorrow.

They will play at 3:00PM Saturday. Go Archers!
