Archer Basketball Opens the Season at Harris-Stowe

This past Saturday the Archer Basketball team lead by Coach Andre Lodree travelled souch to St. Louis to play NAIA Harris-Stowe University. This was the first game of the season for both teams and the gym walls felt it.

Although there was much excitement in the air for the good mix of returning players and new-comers on the Archer's roster, playing on the road against a solid NAIA school is never an easy task. The Hornets pressured Moody to take care of the ball with intense defense and made them guard all levels shooting 41% from 3 on 39 attempts and getting a steady intake of paint points. It was a tough game for Moody, but they came away with much to improve on and much to replicate.

This was just the start of Moody's strand of away games to start the season. After this they will travel to Palos Heights in IL to play in a tournament hosted by Trinity Christian and have two more games on the road before they play at Solheim.
