Lady Archers Compete at Concordia University XC Classic

The Lady Archers completed their 2nd race of the season at the Ken Weidt Classic, hosted by Concordia University in Wisconsin.  The team placed 10th out of 14 teams, with Wisconsin-La Crosse taking first with 45 points, Lawrence finishing second, and Concordia third.

Sophomore Kassidy Kleinheksel led the Archers with a time of 27:22, covering the 6k distance 1-minute 11-seconds faster than her time last year. Rebekah Berni ran a strong race in 29:06, followed by Katie Morden (29:54), Rebekah Freund (30:03), and Felicity Severs (30:07).

 Coach Troy Fichter: "The ladies did a great job for their first 6k of the year, and I was proud of how they pushed hard during the race! I am excited to see each lady improve as the season continues!" 

The Lady Archers will compete next Friday, October 11th, at the Bethel Invitational hosted by Bethel University. The race will take place at 2:30 pm (EST) at St. Patrick's Park in South Bend, Indiana.
