WXC Competes at Oshkosh Invitational

The Women's Cross-Country team joined 33 other teams from all over the region to compete at the UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Sports Invitational in Winneconne, Wisconsin.  With a total of 419 runners in the women's 6k event, the Lady Archer's embraced the challenge, averaging a team-time of 25:58, improving their team average by 35 seconds since their last 6k. 

Junior Summer Pierson was the first Lady Archer to complete the course in 23:54, with Seniors Mara Johnson and Emi Snyder finishing next in 25:22 and 25:33 respectively.  Freshman Katie Nicholas was next in 27:25, followed closely by Senior Mystique Kalat, who finished in 27:37. Hannah Berkoski (Sophomore), Mollie Hansen (Junior), and Victoria Benegas worked together to finish closely in 28:22, and 28:23, with 28:31 respectively.  

Words from Coach Fichter: "The team did a great job today and I am seeing improvements in everyone! I am looking forward to getting the team ready for Natioanals in 4 weeks."

The Lady Archer's next race--the last race before Nationals--will be on November 7th, at the Red-White Open Invitational hosted by North Central College.
