The Moody Women's Cross Country Team had a special opportunity to volunteer and help out at the "El Grito" 5k race on Septmeber 8th. 

The El Grito 5K course runs along 26th Street, Chicago's second magnificent mile, in the culturally rich Mexican neighborhood of Little Village. The race preceded the 50th annual Mexican Independence Day Parade.

New Life Centers of Chicagoland organizes the "EL Grito 5k" each year and gave a great opportunity for the WXC team to help with serving the community of Little Village.
