The Archers were met with a double lost this weekend as they went up against Spurgeon and Emmaus College. The first match was against Spurgeon College that made the Archers realize that this game was not going to be an easy one. It was a tough fast-paced match with Spurgeon putting the offense players to work. The first set came to an end with a total score of 25-20. The second set made the Archers step up their game, working together to keep up with Spurgeon but was met with a loss. The ending score totaling to 25-23. The third set gave the Archers hope to come back with a win but wasn't enough and ended the match 25-21, Archers having their first loss of the season. 

 

Second match of the day was against Emmaus College giving the Archer an opportunity to redeem themselves. The first set was a tough one for the Archers struggling to earn points. Emmaus had the lead and ended the set with a 9-point lead, a total score of 25-16. The second set the Archers was able to come back and was close to a win but struggled in the end. Ending with a total score of 25-23. The final set the Archers was unable to keep up with Emmaus and ended the final set with a total score of 25-16.
