
In the finale of "The Big Four Tournament" the host Archers of Moody Bible Institute were dominated by the visiting Pomeroy of St. Mary of the Woods 106-68. The Archers were over-matched by the size, speed, and depth on the St. Mary Roster. Moody (2-5,0-1) trailed by 22 points at halftime and never got closer.
Freshman forward Josh Bartig led the way for Moody with 17 points, he also grabbed 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Freshman point guard Isaac Martinez had 16 points to go along with a career high 7 rebounds. Senior Tre Walker tallied 15 points with three assists while junior forward Demorion Jackson chipped in 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds as the Archers had four players score in double figures.
The Cardinals of Andrews University visit The Solheim Center next Thursday for a 6:00 game. The Archers will then travel to Andrews on Saturday for a 7:00 pm (EST) tilt.
