The Lady Archers raced in their first race of the season this past Saturday at the Ken Weidt Classic XC meet that was hosted by Concordia University in Wisconsin. The team placed 5th out of 8 teams, with Concordia taking 1st place and Carthage taking 2nd. This was the first college XC meet for 5 of the 7 ladies that ran for the Moody Archers.
Freshman Kassidy Kleinheksel finished first for the Archers in the 6k race with a 28:33, followed closely by Kamo Setloboko in 28:34. Freshman Lilly Holtan came in with a 28:58, Rebekah Berni 29:01, Hailey Childress 30:26, Jamie Nottingham 31:50 and Rachel Wilson 32:25.

The Archers will compete next on September 30, at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College. The XC meet will take place at Greenfield Park in West Allis, Wisconsin.
