WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY IMPROVING AT WARRIOR INVITATIONAL

The Lady Archers competed at the Warrior Invitational in West Allis, Wisconsin.  The 6-kilometer race was hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College with the team placing 5th out of 11 teams.

Freshman Hannah Branson was able to make the top twenty with a time of 27:53. Seniors Anna Schick and Katherine Moreno came next in 29:23 and 29:24 respectively, with Junior Leyda Gabriel following at their heels in 29:25.  Sophomore Sarah Braswell finished in 31:09, and Senior Rachel Dean, returning from injury, finished in 31:53 to complete her first-ever college 6k.

“The ladies did a great job today with all of our runners improving from their last meet. We are a really young team so I am excited to see the potential of all of the ladies and getting our 3 runners back that could not compete this week.”

The lady archers will compete in their first 5k of the season at the Bethel Invitational hosted by Bethel University on Friday, October 8th, at St. Patrick’s Park in South Bend, IN.
