LADY ARCHERS PUSH TO TAKE 2nd AT REGIONALS

The Lady Archers competed in the NCCAA, D2, North Regional Championship held at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA. Eight school were represented with Maranatha finishing first with 24 points, the Lady Archers took second with 55 points, Faith Baptist followed close with 56 points, and Emmaus finished with 105 points.

Hannah Branson (Freshman) once again led the Archers with a time of 22:45 and a 6th place finish, followed by Katherine Moreno (Senior) in 23:14 who also placed in the top ten. Leyda Gabriel (Junior), Abby Alder (Freshman) and Anna Schick (Senior) worked together to finish strong in 23:19, 23:27, and 23:34, dropping 46 and 67 seconds off their previous race times just two weeks ago. Rachel Dean (Senior) smashed her previous time by a minute-forty seconds, finishing in 24:17. Sophomore Sarah Braswell ran a very solid first 5k time of 24:54.

The Lady Archers will compete next at North Central?s Red-White Invite on Thursday, November 4th, at St. James Farm, Warrenville, IL. This will be the team?s final race before heading to the NCCAA, D2 National Championship held in Joplin, MO on November 12.
