Get to Know the Coach:

What aspect do you like the most about coaching?

Seeing my ladies develop as runners through dedication and hard work. I love seeing them get PR’s and they realize what it took to get there. I feel this relates so much with the Christian walk and how as Christians we need to persevere to grow.

Where did your passion for coaching come from?

I always had a passion for mentoring young people and seeing them grow in their relationship with Christ and athletics is an excellent way for them to build Christian Character.

Was there a person who influenced you?

I never was really mentored by anyone so I would say God and His Word has influenced me the most. My parents definitely influenced me to be respectful and a hard worker.

What's the best part about coaching?

I love laughing with my team and having fun with them! Listening to the ladies sing worship songs on the way back from road trips has always melted my heart.

What are some hardships with coaching?

The hardest thing about coaching is seeing an athlete struggle with injuries but I trust that the Lord knows more than me and He is developing them in the inside.
