Justice College Comes to Play at Solheim

It was a rollercoster of a game this past Wednesday as Moody hosted newly-founded confrence opponent Justice College in Solheim Center. There was good volleyball and there was growing-pain errors, but the Archers learned much from their battle against the Lions. Justice left with the win, but the Archers played at a high level showing their potential to win come post-season.

The Archers had much excitement to start the game as new setter and team member Regan Getz returned to the court after a couple years off. Moody came out and won the first set by a close margin of 3 points while working through some adjustments that come from a new starting line-up. They did not play the cleanest set, but still came out on top. In the set to come, the sloppiness caught up with them and they lost the next set 25-18 with a lot of costly errors. The momentum in the air totally shifted to the Lions' advantage and they took the next set as well. Moody came out to the 4 set ready to compete, but sadly, another injury stopped them in their tracks. Key player Kaelyn Atanes suffered an ankle injury and was out for the rest of the game. The Archers could not rally back and lost 3 sets to 1.

But the Archers are hopeful that once the adjustments with a new teamate are settled, they will go back to winning volleyball games like they know they can. Go Archers!
