Emmaus Holds Against Archers

Emmaus Holds Against Archers

The Archers faced an efficient Emmaus Bible College team on Friday, September 22nd and came up short, losing 3 sets to 1. Moody seemed to have maintained the momentum from the Dayspring win earlier in the week, but it was not enough to beat the Eagles with a deep bench and fundamental play.

The first set appeared to fly by, as the Eagles took it 25-11. But this woke up the Archers, and they faught hard the next set rallying to beat Emmaus 27-25. It was a back and forth set, but with the help of Sophie's timely hot-hand, the Archers took it. This taste of victory carried Moody into the next set with an early lead, but the Eagles proved not be rattled and won the next two sets.

The Archers can come away from this game seeing what they are capable of and strive to keep consistent. They had their very high moments throughout the night, but Moody could not maintain clean volleyball, committing too many errors against an Emmaus team who did not do the same.

Coach Choy and the team will have a full week of rest and practice before they host a triangular with Grace Christian University and Maranatha Baptist University on Saturday, September 30th. See you there! GO ARCHERS!!
