Archers Travel to Emmaus for a Double Header

The Moody Women's Volleyball team traveled west to Iowa this past weekend to play against Emmaus Bible College and Spurgeon College in a double header. Sadly, they came out of the weekend winless, but not without lots to build upon for future games.

In their first game against Spurgeon, Hayley Williams and Sophie Schwartzbauer continued to lead the team in kills, getting a combined 19 kills through the 3 sets played. This was made possible by great setting and a whoppping 51 digs as a team, Anais Deac and Sophie leading with 13 each. But this was not enough to beat Lizzie Deaton for Spurgeon who had 21 kills herself.

The second game against Emmaus was not much different. Sophie stepped up once again delivering 17 kills, while teammates Joy Marquardt and Kaelyn Atanes kept the rallies alive with great digs.

The Archers hope to use these induvidual momentums in a combined effort to beat Dayspring, who they have already beat this season, at home this next Tuesday. Come support you Women's Volleyball team and as always, GO ARCHERS!
