Moody's women's volleyball team started their season this past weekend with a triangular hosted by Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Archers played 3 games in total playing Kuyper Friday night and Saturday morning before playing Dayspring Bible College later that day. It was a lot of volleyball for Coach Choy and his team, but they came out of the weekend 2-1 to start the season.

In the first game Moody defeated the newly started Kuyper volleyball team 3 sets to 1. Hailey Williams and Anias Deac lead the team with a combined 20 aces throughout the 4 sets. This was accompanied by Freshman Abby Clinton's 5 kills.

The second game against Kuyper was a different story. Kuyper learned from their first game and beat Moody 3 sets to 2. It was neck and neck the whole morning coming down to a 13-15 finish in the fifth set. Moody played hard racking up 26 aces and 32 kills, 18 of which came from Sophie Schwartzbauer.

Then to end the weekend Moody swiftly beat Dayspring 3-0 despite Daypring making few errors. With amazing passing and setting, Sophie was able to fill up the attacks column to push Moody to a winning record.

The team will play Kuyper again next weekend for their first home games of the season. Be sure to be there and as always... GO ARCHERS!
