Lady Archers get the Job Done on Senior Night

Chicago, IL. The Lady Archers played their final home game of the season against Oakton Community College. Moody’s Senior Andrea Lockwood was honored as she played her final home game of her volleyball career. Thanks to her 5 serves the Archers were able to gain an early advantage at the beginning of Game 1. The Oakton Owls, however, put up a fight as they gained the lead and took Game 1. As the Archers moved into their next 2 games, freshman Jessie Campbell put up over 6 blocks and shut down Oakton’s outside hitters. Jessie Campbell also helped the Archers catch up to Oakton’s lead and won the second game with her 4 aces and 2 aggressive serves. Sophomore Libero, Olyvia Johnson played with grit throughout the entire match and dug up nearly every attack in her range. The final three games were a battle to the very end, Moody winning 15-13 in the final set. Defense and consistent serving are what brought victory to the Lady Archers, as they are now on a 7 game winning streak.
