Archer's Lose Nail-biter Against Indiana University Northwest
Sep 9, 2021

On September 8th the Archers had a nail biter in their opening against the Indiana University Northwest Redhawks. The Archers came out strong with an early goal from freshman Jake Fultz. The Archers had a close fight but gave up a penalty goal halfway towards the end of the first half. Freshman Jake Fultz had an answer with his second goal of the game. When asked about this response, assistant coach Joseph Waltz had many positive things to say. "When IUNW drew the penalty and converted, I think we were resilient and fit enough to add one more. This kind of response is exactly what we mean when talking about playing for each other. The expectations are always there to take care of assignments on defense. This kind of response - from the captains and others toward those involved - had the right dose of positive". Unfortunately the Redhawks were able to rally and score two second half goals to give them a 3-2 win against the Archers. Be sure to check out the Archers next game on September 11th against St Francis and their next home game on the 18th against Grace Christian.
