For the second time in three days the shorthanded Archers lost to the Cardinals of Andrews University. Moody was again missing senior Co-Captain Tre Walker recovering from surgery and junior Co-Captain Christian Pollard who is out awaiting season-ending shoulder surgery. The Archers led by as much as four points early on but poor shooting from the floor (.27 %) saw them trailing Andrew's by the score of 33-24 at the half.
The Archers shooting improved some in the second half, but it was not enough to get them back into the game. "The effort was there tonight, but poor shooting from the floor and an inability to get stops on defense did us in," commented Moody Coach Jack Jordan
Freshman guard Isaac Martinez led the way for Moody with 18 points and added 6 rebounds. Junior forward Demorion Jackson tallied 14 points, shooting 4-6 from the floor and 6-10 from the foul line while leading Moody in rebounds with 9. Freshman forward Joshua Bartig chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds.
The Archers will be back in action Friday, December 6 to face Taylor University at Upland, Indiana for a 6:00 pm Tip-Off.
