Men’s Soccer Closes Regular Season with 7-1 Road Win

The Moody Archers’ men’s soccer team closed out the season with a 7-1 win over Indiana University Northwest on Friday. The Archers close the season with an 8-6 record, the first winning record since 2014.

Junior Striker Will Snyder led the Archers with a hat trick. Senior midfielder Dani Martinez added two goals, and both Freshman midfielder Riley Brown and Senior defender Ben Worley scored one apiece.

“I am very proud of our guys - coming out on a cold day and competing well,” said coach Jon Forsythe. “We are taking our chances well and really peaking  at the right time for regionals.”

The Archers will compete in the NCCAA North Regional Tournament next weekend in Ankeny, Iowa. Moody holds the #3 seed in the tournament, and will play #6 Emmaus on Thursday at 11:30am. Should the Archers progress, they would play #2 Maranatha on Friday at 11:30am. The Archers would then play in the Final on Saturday at 2pm.
