The Moody men’s soccer team defeated Andrews University 3-0 in Thursday’s March. Seniors Ben Worley, Liam Clinch and Jared Weix each scored in their games on the Moody field. The Archers improve to 7-6 on the year with the win.
Worley opened the scoring with a left footed volley into the top corner in the 33rd minute. Junior Will Snyder swung in a cross from the right flank which Worley connected with on his first touch. The Archers took a 1-0 into halftime.
Clinch started the scoring early in the second half with a quality free kick in the 48th minute. Clinch curled the ball with his left foot into the top corner from 25 yards out. Weix added a penalty kick in the 57th minute to close out the scoring.
The Archers wrap up regular season play away to Indiana University - Northwest on Friday, Nov. 1. With a win or draw, the Archers would record the program’s first regular season winning record since 2014.
