Archers Dominate in 8-0 Victory

CHICAGO - It was a great day for soccer here on Moody's home field. The Moody Bible Institute Archers welcomed Great Lakes Christian Crusaders at Solheim Field and came out with an 8-0 victory. The Archers kept the ball on the offensive side of the field for most of the game. Dani Martinez set the pace for the Archers, scoring the first two goals in the first half. Moody had a total 22 shots on goal over Great Lakes 2. Defensively, the Archers kept the Crusaders away from the goal, only allowing them to get close once in the first half with a kick at the far post which was nicely saved by goalkeeper Kaden McCloughan. Jared Weix scored Moody's third goal with an assist from Beau Rokala. Liam Clinch, Beau Rokala, and Logan Morse all pushed Moody to victory with goals in the second half and Blake Rokala scored the final goals for both the first and second half. Both Great Lakes and Moody played a clean and fair game, honoring God and each other, resulting in a game closed out with no fouls on either side of the ball. The Moody Bible Institute Archers will play their next game this Saturday on the road against Illinois Tech at 6:00 pm.
